Scaffolds are elevated temporary platforms. Along with their supporting structures, they hold workers, material, or both. The Scaffold Erection course provides information and guidance for calculating capacity and contributory leg loads. It introduces criteria for all scaffold types and provides methods for platform construction and assembly techniques for tube and clamp and system scaffolds. It presents training requirements for scaffold erectors, dismantlers, and users and provides clarification of the difference between a competent person and a qualified person.
